I haven't had an opportunity yet to travel with this hat — it's early 2021 as I write this — but I have to say that these hats are beautiful. The materials are high quality, as is the style and workmanship.
One caution I have it that you really need to measure accurately and think about the size. I originally ordered the largest size, thinking I'd measured correctly. That hat was enormous. I then ordered the middle-sized hat. That was still too big. Finally, I ordered the smallest size (M/L) and that was just right.
Heed my Goldilocks experience and measure twice before ordering. You WILL love the hat, but it's best if you get the right size the first time.
Now I'll be shipping the first two hats back to Australia for a refund.

This was exactly what I was looking for to keep the sun off my face and neck. The adjustable fitting strap worked really well in the wind. Will likely purchase another one in a different color.

After being told by my dermatologist that I should wear a hat, and after signing up for a Mediterranean cruise, I started looking for hats which gave good protection, could hold their shape while traveling, and looked good. I was intrigued by the woven material used + the style. I paid a little extra for faster shipping and it arrived well before the trip.
I like the looks and the clever adjustable elastic band inside which insures a better fit. (I don’t understand the admonition to go to a much larger size, but it works.) I’ve received several compliments on the cruise and two men said they were going to get this hat for either golf or travel.
My only reservation is that I’m afraid to fold it, despite its name. I like the shape and the curves of the brim, and am reluctant to fold it (or otherwise bend, pack, compress or roll it.). This makes it a bit awkward to carry on a plane or bus or public transport. Nevertheless, it looks very good 10 days & 4 stops into my trip.
