Akubra Riverina Hat Loden

I have a collection of Akubra hats including the Avalon, Coober Pedy, Cattleman, and the Banjo Paterson (Heritage). I recently bought the Riverina - Loden. The best of the best. Even my wife thinks it looks great on me. Particularly wanted the sun protection it offers. Great feeling when you know you have nailed it.

This hat should be marketed as "This Hat could save your neck" ,given that even in my cloud covered Island three of my neighbours have fallen victim to cancer of the neck or ears.With no knowledge of country music I therefore did not want to give the impression I did by wearing a cowboy style hat , but on first sight of the Riverina with it's extra wide brim and beautiful courvature that increases sun protection I knew instantly my search was over.It was once said " progress without tradition is not progress" and in this regard Akubra has excelled . Akubra have well placed pride in their productsand in a rare feat their website conveys this believe. My Riverina has held it's shape well despite beening in daily use with showers of rain having had no effect on my head or my hat. The Riverina has attracted more conversation than a puppy and I think Akubra is underselling itself in a Europe that is now very conscious of skin cancer. As a well considered gift the Riverina would gain from a hat box which would leave the recipent in no doubt as to it's quality.
My hat has accompanied me everywhere mainly because it was at risk theft from my daughter who also as impatient as her father ordered one herself. It's individualism bonds well with my lifestyle and this is probably why Akubra have such a large range of hats and the thought of my hat resting on my coffin, on my last journey up a church aisle is not a bad one , given all the travels I expect to make alongside it between now and then.

Very pleased overall with my new akubra. I've had many Akubras over the years and found them to be tough, stylish and durable ( unless eaten by the family dog or accidentally slashed during paddock work....oops!) . The Riverina Akubra is very comfortable and provides excellent shade for my face. Thank you for your extremely fast delivery. It arrived within 48 hrs of purchase, which was amazing.
